Hutchinson River Parkway Double-Lane Closure Scheduled

Motorists traveling on the Hutchinson River Parkway in Westchester next week can expect delays around the village of Scarsdale and the city of New Rochelle due to maintenance work.

Double-lane closures have been scheduled for the Hutchinson River Parkway in Scarsdale, according to the NYSDOT.

Double-lane closures have been announced on the Hutchinson River Parkway northbound between exit 21 Route 125) and exit 26W (I-287) beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 15.

The closures are expected to occur between approximately 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. through Friday, Oct. 18.

While the lanes are closed, traffic will be diverted to the right shoulder.

The NYSDOT noted that “motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.”
